How did you originally get involved in the sport?
I started Crossfit in 2014 and learnt how to weightlift. It ended up being the thing I was good at. I eventually competed in November 2018 and switched to weightlifting.
What do you enjoy most about weightlifting?
Competing on a big stage! The challenge to always improve. There is always something to be better at!
What is the best competition you have competed in so far and why?
England Grand Prix in 2019. This was my first comp with Shaun (my coach) and my first English title.
What are your long-term sporting goals?
Competing at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and getting the opportunity to lift at Europeans / Worlds for GB.
What is your main motivation?
To represent and lift for my country.
What music / artists do you like listening to?
If I am training then can't go wrong with 90s Hip Hop. Otherwise Indie / Rock music.
Which sports teams or athletes do you follow / support outside of weightlifting?
Love watching the Six Nations Rugby, Sprinters - Dina Asher-Smith, and Jodie Alicia Williams.
What are your favourite TV show / film?
The American Office.
What is your favourite food?
Bacon, poached egg and avocados on a bagel.
What is your favourite animal?
Horses, my original sport throughout my teens was eventing / showjumping.
What are you hobbies?
Bit of a crazy house plant lady, otherwise anything outside- walks in the countryside and reading!
